Contemplative Prayer & Lectio Divina
Meets Thursdays at 5:30 PM in the Vestry Room
Led by Fr. Hartt
In our world, busy-ness is a near form of insanity. Contemplative prayer is holy resuscitation; the honoring of our soul which needs communion with God. Be assured that centering prayer is not "way out." It is the very essence of Christian prayer.
St. Paul says "we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words." All of us hunger for such deep, sighing prayer. Contemplative or "centering" prayer seeks to meet our holy yearning.
