The Reverend Paul J. Hartt became the 23rd Rector of St. Peter's in 2004. Fr. Hartt attended New York University and earned a B. A. with a concentration in Philosophy. He received his M.A. from the "Great Books" program at the Graduate Institute of Saint John's College in Annapolis, Maryland. Fr. Hartt worked in admissions at NYU before attending seminary. While in NYC, he married his wife Jeffrey, and they have been married twenty years. After discerning a call to the priesthood, Fr. Hartt went on to receive a Master of Divinity degree from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, and his son, Samuel, was born in New Haven. Fr. Hartt served as curate at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Mystic, Connecticut, and came to St. Peter's after serving six years as Rector of St. John's, Delhi, and Priest-in-Charge at St. Peter's, Hobart, N.Y. Father Hartt is the past-president of the Standing Committee of the Diocese of Albany.
The Rev. Susan G. Waldron first joined St. Peter’s Church in July 2008 and now serves as Associate Rector. Earlier in life, she earned a B.S. from SUNY Empire State College. While working as a Computer Programmer/Analyst for the State of New York she discerned a call to ministry graduating in May 2008 from Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary with a Master of Divinity. Mother Sue is a long-time member of the Daughters of the King, a world-wide Anglican Prayer order. She also acts as a spiritual director and serves the Diocese of Albany as the Chair of the Commission on Ministry and also a Homiletics Instructor in the Diocesan Deacon school. In her spare time, Mother Sue enjoys reading, painting, music and spending time with her grown daughter, Victoria and their pets.
Neil Keen has been Organist and Choirmaster at St. Peter's Episcopal
Church, Albany since 1980. After earning a B.A. degree in mathematics
from Wesleyan University, he received training in organ performance
and church music at the Hartt School of Music (B.Mus.) and the Yale
School of Music (M.Mus.). He also holds the ARCM Diploma from the
from the Royal College of Music, London, is a Fellow of the American
Guild of Organists, and is a past Dean of the Eastern New York Chapter
AGO. Mr. Keen has performed widely in the northeast as an organ
recitalist and accompanist. He has led the Choir of St. Peter's
Church in performances of major choral works and on seven tours to
England and Scotland, most recently a residency at Chichester Cathedral in the summer of 2017.
