The Rock and Root Hikers meet on Sunday afternoons in the fall and spring to explore trails in the Capital District, weather permitting. Our ages are welcome! Contact Mtr. Christina at (518) 423-4891 with questions.
The Rock and Root Hiking Club will explore Plotter Kill Preserve on Sunday, April 19 at 1:30 pm. This is a rugged trail at times with moderate ascents and descents, so dress accordingly. We will meet in the small parking lot at 3953 Mariaville Road, Schenectady (note: this is roughly a 30-minute drive from St. Peter’s). Plotter Kill is one of the trails that are part of the Seven Preserve Challenge. All are welcome to join!
* EARN A PATCH! Indicates a trail that is part of the Seven Preserve Challenge, which our hiking club is beginning in 2025 and will complete by 2027. More information at https://ecosny.org/seven-preserve-challenge/
