Lay Eucharistic Ministers assist the clergy in the administration of the Sacrament at Holy Communion. Versatile as they are, LEM's are occasionally also called upon to perform the functions of Acolytes and Lay Readers, when none of our regular Acolytes or Readers are available.
Many of our Lay Eucharistic Ministers also serve as Lay Eucharistic Visitors, taking the Reserved Sacrament to parishioners who, for various reasons, are prevented from joining our worship on Sunday morning. Our dedicated LEV's travel to parishioners' homes and to the local hospitals making sure that every parishioner is included in the Sacraments and worship of our church.
Anyone who is interested in serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister or a Lay Eucharistic Visitor can feel free to contact Fr. Hartt in person at the St. Peter's Church office or by e-mail.
